This training will cover an in depth understanding of an optimised DBS surgical workflow including multidisciplinary involvement. The participants will understand how to integrate image-based solutions based on the Hospital La Fe protocol. This will include: MRI acquisition, planning with Stealth DBS, Stealth Viz, verification with O-arm and programming with SureTune3.
The participants will also gain an understanding on how to communicate and share the image-based workflow in a multidisciplinary setting. Furthermore, the participant will also be exposed on how to optimise the patient pathway, from planning to programming.
The focus will be made on surgery related steps but an overview of the entire patient pathway within the hospital will also be covered.
Worldwide multidisciplinary groups, with DBS experience and on-going DBS activity, willing to experience and integrate a new image-based workflow that supports the DBS surgical procedure and, ultimately, seeks to optimise the patient pathway. Participants should have, or are planning to have, the adequate equipment available in their centre.
This course will welcome teams from the same hospital and accommodate for a maximum of 2 teams at a time.
The participants will learn from the unique DBS workflow process implemented by Hospital La Fe related to the DBS procedure, multidisciplinary approach and optimised patient pathway. Furthermore, the participants will gain a good understanding of how to integrate specific image- based technologies supporting the workflow from planning to programming.
