Scott Cundy serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Medtronic. In this role, Scott oversees Global Quality for the company and is a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee.
Scott partners with business groups and global regions to ensure end-to-end quality and reliability from development through manufacturing, distribution, and end-customer use. He is responsible for driving the strategic direction for quality programs through the implementation of policy and standards across Medtronic.
Scott has an extensive background in product quality, engineering, and regulatory affairs, along with significant execution and operations expertise. He is a demonstrated change agent who challenges teams to use transformative thinking and creates an atmosphere of collaboration and high productivity while demanding accountability. Scott has the ability to navigate complex issues and tenaciously execute plans while maintaining high ethical standards.
Prior to rejoining Medtronic, Scott was Vice President of Quality, Regulatory and Clinical at Danaher Corporation where he drove strategies to meet global regulations and compliance requirements. He also led Danaher’s initiative to transition quality, regulatory, and clinical functions to a source of competitive advantage. Before that, he spent 10 years at Medtronic in various Quality, Regulatory and Clinical leadership roles within the Cardiac and Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management businesses.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
