Quick Connect is the latest enhancement to the HVAD™ System, and it includes three new features designed to provide a secure connection and improve assembly of the outflow graft and strain relief onto the HVAD™ Pump.
The Carbothane driveline was designed with the patients' needs in mind and with the goal of continuing to improve driveline management.
UV-resistant outer sheath1.
UV-resistant outer sheath helps inhibit cracking and discoloration when exposed to sunlight (UV exposure).
Greater patient comfort1.
The driveline’s increased flexibility means that patients are better able to bend and secure it to their abdomen for a more comfortable placement.
Redundant pacemaker-grade wires.
The enhanced driveline incorporates all the features of the current driveline, including six pacemaker-grade wires, each of which is encased in insulation and individually wrapped in a honeycomb inner lumen for added protection.
Small outer diameter.
The Carbothane driveline has the same small outer diameter as the previous Pellethane® HVAD driveline (4.8 mm).
