Becoming a reference center for cardiac imaging.
Innovating through design and construction projects
The cardiology department aimed to improve its diagnostic and therapeutic abilities, streamline operations and processes, and become a leading reference center for advanced cardiac imaging (CT and MRI). Additional CT and MRI equipment was needed, but space was limited.
Partnering with Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions℠ (IHS), the hospital expanded its space by 200 square meters and implemented advanced CT and MRI machines. There has been an increase in diagnostic reliability with the latest generation equipment providing high-quality and very precise imaging, leading to significant positive upticks in several key operational areas.
A 158% increase in CT scans and a 120% increase in MRIs after one year
Waiting list time reduced by 84% for CT scans and 93% for MRIs
98% of patients were completely satisfied with the experience
This new unit has made the delivery of high-standard cardiac care possible, as tailored advanced cardiac imaging can be used to assist in complex cardiovascular procedures and help with the diagnosis of our patients.
