The Voyager™ 5.5
procedural solutions

“The patients have a faster recovery; this is the main advantage. The patients who have received the MIS surgery in the first week in my practice are much better than patients with open surgery”

Dr. Fernandez Carballal

Degenerative procedures

Enhancing your MIS TLIF

The Space-D™ Distractor Compressor and SpaceView™ Retractor systems expand the capabilities of the Voyager™ 5.5 instrumentation to perform MIS posterior fusion surgeries with:

  • Screw based in-situ distraction for controlled access to disc space1
  • Versatile and low-profile retractor for good visualization and working channel2

Listen to some of Dr Pötzel’s tips when he performs a MIS TLIF.

Guidewire-less TLIF procedure

The awl-tip tap screw (ATS) shortens the MIS degenerative surgical steps, improving the procedural workflow.

Listen to Prof. Strube's degenerative surgical procedural workflow, combining the benefits of navigation with the value of the Voyager™ 5.5 platform.

Multi-level MIS degenerative procedures

The Voyager™ 5.5 platform offers multiple instrumentatios to tackle complex degenerative cases:

  • Rod reducers to allow for an additional 30 mm redution
  • Sterile percutaneous rods in titanium alloy and cobalt chrome up to 500 mm
  • Low-profile extenders to minimise extenders conflict.

Listen to Dr. Pötzel's experience of using Voyager™ 5.5 to perform complex MIS degenerative cases.

Trauma procedures

The Voyager™ 5.5 platform offers multiple instrumentations to tackle trauma cases in a minimally invasive way:

  • Sagittal adjusting scew (SAS) provides the rod angulation accommodation of a multi-axial screw with the vertebral body control of a fixed screw
  • Space-T™ performs independent distractions and lordosis correction
  • Minimised assembly steps of the Space-T™ system

Listen to some of Prof. Tomé-Bermejo's tips for performing trauma procedures with MIS.

Cement-augmented procedures

The Voyager 5.5 system has a streamlined cement-augmented workflow:

  • Reusable cement delivery guide with visual confirmation when fully seated into the Voyager™ 5.5 Extender
  • Small and sterile packed disposable tip
  • Device to inject up to 1.8 cc of cement into the vertebral body — the recommended cement volumes for lumbar spine
