The DiamondTemp™ Ablation System runs in temperature-control mode. The RF generator measures the six thermocouples every 20 milliseconds and modulates power in real time to maintain optimal tip-tissue temperature for durable lesion creation.2
The following biophysical markers indicate a transmural lesion has been created:

  • Temperature > 50° C3
  • 5–10 Ω impedance drop
  • Electrogram (EGM) attenuation4

The catheter and the RF generator are engaged in a continuous biophysical feedback loop, enabling the generator to modulate power to deliver RF energy to achieve optimal therapeutic temperature in real time.

Exclusive Diamond-enabled Tip Cooling

WHY DIAMONDS MATTER

The 7.5 Fr ablation catheter tip includes advanced-grade diamonds, enabling rapid cooling due to their high thermal diffusivity property. The catheter tip is comprised of platinum-iridium and diamond components. A network of chemical vapor deposit (CVD) synthetic diamonds acts as heat-shunting material.

An exclusive diamond shunt network enables rapid catheter tip cooling and a low-flow irrigation rate of 8 ml/min.4

  • Thermal energy transfer is 200–400x faster with CVD diamond vs. platinum-iridium.5,6
  • Extremely high thermal diffusivity allows quick conduction of thermal energy through the diamond shunt network, enabling a low-flow irrigation rate and EGM signal clarity.7

MORE PRECISE ABLATION GUIDANCE

A high-resolution electrode (HRE) at the catheter tip allows for the recording of highly localised signals at the centre of ablation with minimal far-field artifact.7

  • Split-tip electrode is electrically isolated to allow for clear, high-resolution EGM sensing.
  • Align the centre of ablation with the centre of mapping with a close bipolar catheter tip configuration.8

The 7.5 Fr, open-irrigated catheter also features a 4.1 mm catheter tip segment consisting of 6 externally placed temperature-sensing thermocouples, dual composite tip electrode, 2 ring electrodes, and 6 irrigation ports.
